My Elevator Pitch | Parsons x Teen Vogue Assignment.

For this Assignment, I created an Elevator Pitch. This is what will help me to apply for a job and prepare me for the interview. It helps me communicate who I am and what I’m looking for in a few words to hiring managers that can lead to a job.

In my Elevator Pitch, I have to include

  • My name and my current career title.

  • Brief Statement of what I’ve done in my field to date and what I’m hoping to do next

  • Examples of things that excite me.

This is also in the about me section of my portfolio and my linked in account.

Here’s Elevator Pitch I created below:

My name is Katherine and I aspire to have a career in the fashion industry.

I started my fashion blog called, “Kadiskreations”, on Tumblr in 2012 and another blog on WordPress for my original content that includes topics about fashion, music, traveling, photography and more.

I also have a Pinterest page that has gained thousands of monthly viewers and rising. On there I have created multiple mood boards for different looks and ideas inspired by celebrities, movies, shows, or anything I’m interested in at the time. Since starting my blogs I have gained interest in other fields within the industry including music, film, photography, editing, and social media.

I am always inspired by the creativity and styles of different people and my goal is to inspire or influence others in the same way. Some of my inspirations are musician/designers Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, and Solange Knowles. They always find a way to mix their love of music and style into their career which is something I would like to do.

My goal is to have a career in this industry and increase my knowledge by having many experiences and opportunities as possible. I am willing to work hard and do my very best to be successful in my career.
