a festive holiday dessert! | 12 days of blogmas | #11

Every Christmas Eve, I have a tradition to bake cookies for my family! But this year, instead of just baking cookies, I thought I would make an additional dessert. I decided to make a s’mores platter. This platter was inspired by the many Christmas charcuterie boards that I see on Instagram and Pinterest. But this time without the meat and cheese. It is easy to make, and your family will be guaranteed to love it!

A Holiday S’mores Platter

Ingredients

  • Marshmallows
  • Milk or Dark Chocolate
  • Cookies
  • Graham Crackers
  • Bamboo Skewers
  • Christmas Candy
  • Hot Chocolate (Optional)

For this platter, all you need is your general s’mores ingredients such as marshmallows, chocolate of your choice, and graham crackers. I choose dark chocolate for mine. Next, I added cookies. I picked vanilla wafers, but you can also choose any kind you want. I made sugar cookies too! Lastly, I added bamboo skewers for the marshmallow roasting aesthetic. If you have a fire pit or grill, this will be perfect for that. If not, I just used the fire from my gas stove for a couple of minutes just until they were slightly brown. But please stay safe if you do this! Using your oven or even your air fryer will be fine too.

You can create this platter any way you like! I included packets of Hot Chocolate with mine! Next time, I will definitely add more items like Pretzels, Strawberries, Almonds, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Hershey Kisses, and Oreos! There are so many options that you can choose from for this holiday platter!
