Meet The Owner, Kat.

My name is Kat, and I’m a blogger and writer from St. Louis, MO. I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration and currently work in the fashion industry. I have written articles publications such as, Her Campus Media and College Fashionista. I also have aspirations of becoming an entrepreneur and philanthropist.

My Background

My love for fashion and music began from a very young age. I would design outfits for my Barbie dolls while teaching myself how to sew and sketch. I loved watching shows like America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway, That’s So Raven, and Kimora Lee Simmons: Life in the Fab Lane daily for fashion inspiration. I would always love to accessorize my uniform every day before I went to school to show off my unique style. My interest in music began when I took guitar lessons as a child. Then, I taught myself how to play the piano. I discovered so many different genres of music in the process. I became inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Aaliyah, Pharrell, and Beyoncé. I admired how certain artists like Pharrell and Rihanna could combine their love for fashion and music. I knew I wanted to do just exactly that in my career.

How Kadiskreations Began

In 2018, months after graduating high school, I completed an online program from Parsons School of Design and Teen Vogue to learn more about the fashion industry. During this, I discovered another passion of mine, blogging.

Therefore, my blog, Kadiskreations, was created. This is a business name that my mother made before I was born. It combined her name, Diane, and my name, Katherine. I was also named after my grandmother. Kadiskreations is now a blog dedicated to my love for fashion, music, and culture.

My Mission

Even though I love writing about fashion and music, my mission is to inspire and uplift others, especially young women. I want to use my life experiences to give advice to those who may be going through similar hardships as I have. I want to motivate them to have self-confidence and know anything they want in life is possible.
