The Business Plan | Parsons x Teen Vogue Assignment.
For this course, the assignment was to find a business on Kickstarter or GoFundMe that seemed interesting to me. I found the business, Manufacture 4 Me in London, UK. I support them because they connect with Manufactures in Africa.
Here’s their Description:
About: We’re a source and supply platform for fashion designers, bringing you pre-vetted manufacturers and a 1st class sampling and production service.
How it Works:
1. Matching
Submit a request and we’ll match you with a manufacturer that best suits your design requirements. Get to know your manufacturer by browsing their profile and taking a look inside their factory for yourself.
2. Sampling and Production
Upload your tech packs and sketches in the workstream which is where you will communicate with the factory. Once approved, you can request samples and send feedback to your manufacturer via the platform until you give your GOLD SEAL APPROVAL. Then that’s it, You’re ready production. All purchase orders, invoices and payments are handled safely and securely through M4M.
3. Import Your Goods
We will help you to coordinate the import of your goods with competitive rates via our logistics partners to ensure hassle-free delivery to your door. Your designs, delivered. Our goal is to significantly increase the export of African-made fashion and to start a true revolution in this trade, showcasing the expert craftsmanship of the manufacturers and artisans of today, which are second to none – investing in African economies and the next generation.
We’ve decided to pilot in Kenya and we will be working with the Kenya High Commission to achieve Kenya Vision 2030.
