Saint Louis Fashion Week 2026

Last month, I won tickets to the final night of Saint Louis Fashion Week, and it was such a phenomenal show that I’m still thinking about it weeks later. This experience reminded me never to give up on my dreams, no matter how big or small they are.

It has always been one of my biggest dreams to attend a major fashion show, and I achieved that goal right here in my own city. When I first heard that STLFW was coming back, I knew I had to go, but it would’ve been a bit of a risk to buy the tickets then. So I waited, still not completely giving up on it.

Then I saw they were doing a giveaway on Instagram, so of course I entered immediately. I also had a small inkling that I would win. Taking a chance and putting yourself out there shows the universe how badly you want something, even something as simple as entering a contest. You have to be willing to try in order to be rewarded and get exactly what you want.

By the time I woke up the next morning, the notification saying that I won was the first thing I saw. If only you could see my face when I saw their message in my DMs. I realized that manifestation is definitely real.

After that, I immediately started shopping for an outfit while texting my friend, who I knew I had to bring with me. I decided on a pastel blue-and-yellow silk dress with shoes that perfectly matched. From getting dressed up to taking pictures on the red carpet (which I unfortunately don’t have any of), it was so fun just enjoying the show. I also loved observing all the staff run the show so smoothly, and it was definitely a great learning experience because you could see how much hard work and effort went into every single detail.

I do admit it was a little intimidating walking in there at first, seeing so many iconic STL fashion figures and designers, cameras, media, and overall just being in a new space. As someone who deals with social anxiety, I had to force myself to let go of all my doubts and overthinking. But once you stop focusing so much on yourself and how you’re coming across to others, you will have the time of your life!

That’s something I admire about my friend that I invited to come with me. I remember seeing her walk in there with her head held up high like she owned the place, and that’s the kind of confidence I aspire to have. Social anxiety definitely fears her.

My next goal is to attend in 2027 not only as an audience member but also in the front row, reporting for Kadiskreations Magazine and proving that dreams do come true.
